I had the privilege of being accepting as a Marketing & New Business Intern for a retail consultancy based in Toronto during the final year of my studies. My three-month tenure with an innovative, daring agency that is well-established within the consultancy industry enabled me to learn and refine my skills in market research, retail trend analysis, targeted marketing & affinity marketing, customer relations, and growth strategy while directly assisting in the short-term and long-term strategy of the Marketing team.
My duties included high-level research on specific retail trends and audiences, white papers, and business reports that were relevant to the current industry. I assisted in creating presentation decks and curating information to be used in senior-level presentations, and also directly contributed to marketing discussions. I also assisted in administrative work along with helping to plan social media posts and contests for the internal Marketing initiative.
